Text Sent to Candidates

Time after time, about 80% of Canadians, women and men, stated that they favour equal shared parenting (ESP) as the legal default following divorce or separation of parents.

Time after time, Canadian federal and provincial governments failed to follow the will of the people. Most recently, in 2014, the Bill C-560 would amend the Divorce Act to create the ESP as the legal default. The bill did not pass because all Canadian parties refused to listen to Canadians.

Why?

I am a father, and I have spent countless hours of my time in a protracted court battle with the mother of my two boys, now 9 and 8. I have lots of fun with the boys, but I have to continuously fight off their mothers effort to reduce my parenting time. None of it would have been necessary if we had Equal Time Parenting law, like number of states in USA or countries like Belgium or Switzerland.

Few days ago, I have sent an email (or submitted the text on the UCP candidate web form, as I did not find any email they published). Some candidates did complete the survey already.

Click on the SURVEY RESULTS so see where your candidates stand. The results are calculated in real time and sorted by riding. Number of candidates visited the survey, but did not care enough to answer any questions.

Vote accordingly. If you are female, you have it made, the courts are strongly biased in your favor. If you are a father, or if you are a mother with male children, think what is more important - pipeline or the well being of your children or grandchildren? If you think this could not happen to you or to your male children, find what the divorce rate is in Canada.
